What's a good guitar under $300, for playing music like Avenged Sevenfold and some Nirvana?

Nothing too expensive. And I'm not looking for one of those bundles. I
mean a guitar on it's own under $300.

I currently have an ibanez guitar from one of those starter kits, now
i just want a better guitar any suggestions? thanks!
